Blowing Snow Advisory in effect for:
Poor visibility in snow and blowing snow is expected or occurring in some locations.
An intense front will move across northern Yukon tonight creating westerly winds of 40 km/h gusting to 70. These strong winds combined with some new snow will cause areas of poor visibility in blowing snow.
Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
Weather Advisories for blowing snow are issued when winds are expected to create blowing snow giving poor visibility to 800 metres or less for at least 3 hours.
Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required. Please monitor local media or Weatheradio. Email reports of severe weather to firstname.lastname@example.org or tweet with the hashtag #BCStorm in British Columbia and #YKStorm in Yukon.
