Clear skies and light winds in a cold airmass will result in temperatures falling below freezing tonight causing widespread frost for much of the province. Eastern sections will have more cloud and hence temperatures there will likely stay a degree or two above the freezing mark.

Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas.

Weather Advisories for Frost are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.

Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required. Please monitor local media or Weatheradio. To report severe weather, send an email to storm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports to #SKStorm.
