Blizzard warning in effect for:

  • Inukjuak

Blizzard conditions with gusty winds and visibility frequently near zero in snow and blowing snow are expected or occurring.

A cold air mass passing over the open waters of Hudson Bay is causing snowsqualls and blizzard conditions locally. Blizzard conditions are already affecting the region of Inukjuak and will spread southward late in the day.

Weather conditions will improve by Saturday morning over all areas.

Protect yourself from wind, cold and disorientation by staying sheltered, indoors or with your vehicle.

Blizzard Warnings are issued when widespread reduced visibilities of 400 metres or less are expected for at least 4 hours.
