Alerts for: Parent - Gouin Reservoir

Snow squall watch in effect for:
- Gouin Reservoir area
- Parent area
Brief, intense snowfall is expected to develop. Under the snow squall, visibilities will be significantly reduced due to the heavy snow combined with blowing snow.
A cold front from Northwestern Quebec will sweep over the centre of the province over the course of the day. This front will favour the development of snow squalls today. Snow at times heavy combined with blowing snow could considerably reduce visibility in snow squalls.
Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
Snow Squall Watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the formation of bands of snow that could produce intense accumulating snow or near zero visibilities.
Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required. Please continue to monitor your local media or Weatheradio for further updates. If you would like to report severe weather, you can call 1-800-361-0233 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also tweet reports of severe weather to #meteoqc.
