Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Norman Bay to Lodge Bay

Rain and snow expected Monday and Tuesday.

A slow moving low pressure system south of Newfoundland will bring persistent precipitation across Southeastern Labrador on Monday and Tuesday. Potentially significant rainfall is expected along coastal areas from Norman Bay down into the straits. Meanwhile, inland and over higher terrain, precipitation is expected to fall as snow and could potentially accumulate enough to cause hazardous driving conditions for the Trans Labrador highway.

The public is advised to monitor future forecasts and warnings as warnings may be required or extended.
